Deep Excavation Team Operative

Cappagh Group is recruiting deep excavation team operatives in North London to work on utility and civil engineering projects, mainly foul water sewer repairs. Operatives dig everything from shallow service trenches to excavations deeper than 6 metres, working inside trench support, shoring and temporary works, operating excavators from 1.5-tonne minis up to 21-tonne tracked machines, digging around live services, then reinstating and backfilling. Hours are 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend work, overtime and occasional emergency call-outs available.

• CPCS or NPORS excavator ticket
• CAT and Genny 1 and 2
• Previous excavation experience
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Desirable: NRSWA, confined space, first aid, EUSR, slinger signaller, lift supervisor

Pay and benefits: Pay negotiable, PAYE or CIS, overtime at enhanced rates, company-funded CPCS, NPORS and other training, PPE provided.
