General Foreman - Civils

John Sisk & Son is hiring a civils general foreman in Birmingham. Reporting to the contracts manager and working with the quantity surveyor, the general foreman runs the site programme for delivery, workmanship and safety, and makes sure labour, plant, materials and subcontractors are in place. The job covers setting up and securing the site, coordinating trades, briefing teams from the drawings, and making sure method statements, risk assessments and approvals such as hoarding licences are in place.

• At least ten years in construction management with a national or regional contractor
• First Aid at Work and IOSH or equivalent
• Temporary works and excavation safety training
• Live energy permits, working at height and scaffolding, lifting and cranage training
