Highways Lighting Operative

Enerveo is hiring a highways lighting operative based in Newcastle and North Tyneside. The operative inspects, maintains and repairs streetlights, traffic signs and other street furniture, changing, painting and testing equipment and fixing faults quickly, with jobs received and repairs logged on a handheld tablet. Much of the work is at height from a MEWP, up to around 12 metres, and includes installing lighting columns. Experienced operatives and people moving across from highways or construction are both considered.

• Previous electrical or construction experience
• Comfortable working at height in a MEWP
• Full UK driving licence
• Nice to have: IPAF or PASMA, CSCS or ECS card, G39, HGV Class 2 licence, public lighting or highways experience

Pay and benefits: £26,711 to £28,091 plus the Time Incentive Management (TIM) bonus scheme. 37 hours a week: Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30 and Friday 07:00 to 12:00. PPE and a work van during working hours, and paid on-call rotas once fully qualified.
