Electrical Highways Operative

Balfour Beatty Living Places is hiring an electrical highways operative for its street lighting team on the HMC26 highways contract, based at Coleshill and supporting the neighbouring Coventry and Solihull contracts when needed. The work is planned and cyclical maintenance of street lights, putting in and replacing lighting columns with the digging and ducting involved, fault-finding and repairing electrical equipment, emergency call-outs in and out of hours, and winter maintenance. Work instructions are completed on handheld devices.

• Electrical qualification (HERS or HEA) and G39
• Lantra T1 and T2
• CSCS card, abrasive wheels and slinger banksman tickets
• Desirable: street lighting contract experience, Class 2 licence with CPC, MEWP or Hiab, telehandler, EUSR 1 and 2, NRSWA
