Ganger

Griffiths is hiring a ganger on a permanent basis in Worcestershire to lead a gang of operatives on construction and civil engineering works. The ganger hands out tasks, runs daily briefings and toolbox talks, checks competency, kit and PPE before work starts, and works alongside the team on earthworks, groundworks, drainage, pipelaying, concreting, kerbing, paving and ducting. The role also helps the supervisor plan daily and weekly work and checks that materials and plant are in place.

• Proven experience as a ganger, lead operative or similar supervisory role in civils
• Able to read site drawings and specifications
• Valid CSCS card, or NPORS card with the CSCS logo (required)
• Desirable: CPCS or NPORS tickets, first aid, SSSTS, full UK driving licence
