Skilled Operative

Farrans is hiring a skilled operative for its civil engineering team in Nottingham. The work covers groundworks, concreting, drainage, kerbing, paving and reinstatement, running small plant such as rollers, dumpers and breakers where trained, and helping install services and utilities. The operative works to RAMS, carries out quality checks and keeps tools, plant and equipment in good order.

• Previous skilled operative experience in civils, construction or highways
• Competent in groundworks and reinstatement, able to follow site drawings
• CSCS card
• Desirable: CPCS or NPORS tickets such as dumper, roller or 360 excavator
• Desirable: NRSWA street works accreditation and a full UK driving licence
