Highways Operative

Ringway is hiring a permanent highways operative in Bracknell for its West Unitaries business unit. The operative works alongside a chargehand on general maintenance and a broad range of routine and cyclical highway jobs, covers emergency and out-of-hours call-outs on a rota, and helps with winter maintenance as second man or driver's mate. Around 12 months' experience is typical, and the grade includes apprentices who have completed their training.

• Driving licence
• Able to use small plant and operate a mini excavator
• Training in health and safety, risk assessment and traffic management
• Interest in gaining an LGV licence
• Desirable: banksman, manual handling, abrasive wheels, emergency first aid and Safe Dig

Pay and benefits: full time, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
