Mains Laying Operative

Clancy is hiring a mains laying operative in Beckton, London, for its clean water team. The field-based role pairs the operative with an experienced team leader to install, repair and maintain water mains and service connections, excavate and reinstate trenches, find and fix mains defects, and carry out pressure testing, disinfection and chlorination. Traffic management, risk assessments and digital job reports are also part of the job.

• Experience on clean water networks, mains laying, utilities or civils
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• NRSWA highly desirable
• Able to read basic drawings and use hand tools and plant
• CPCS or NPORS, CAT and Genny or confined space tickets useful
