Service Locator

KierBAM, a joint venture between Kier and BAM, is hiring a permanent service locator for a redevelopment project at Devonport Dockyard, a live Royal Navy site in Plymouth. The locator surveys and marks underground services in each work area using electromagnetic location and ground penetrating radar, authorises and polices permits to break ground, briefs gangs and keeps markings up to date as digs progress. The contract is 42.5 hours a week, and BPSS security clearance is required.

• CSCS card (before starting)
• Experience with EML, GPR, CAT and Genny utility detection kit
• Knowledge of PAS 128, HSG47 and GS6
• Two to three years of utility surveying experience and a QCF Level 3 or 5 in utility mapping are preferred
• Must meet the nationality and five-year UK residency rules for the base
