Ganger

Network Plus is hiring a ganger for its Claret Civil Engineering business in Bury St Edmunds, leading a small team of operatives on civil engineering and utility projects across East Anglia, the East Midlands and South Lincolnshire. The ganger organises daily site work, allocates tasks and coordinates labour, plant, materials, traffic management and subcontractors to drawings and programme. The role also includes briefings and toolbox talks, risk assessments and method statements, site records, vehicle and plant inspections, and mentoring new starters and apprentices.

• Full UK driving licence
• SSSTS
• Emergency first aid at work (3 day)
• EUSR water hygiene, NRSWA and confined spaces
• CPCS or NPORS plant ticket
• Temporary works supervisor desirable
