General Operative

Balfour Beatty is hiring general operatives in South Queensferry to work on the Forth Rail Bridge, the UNESCO World Heritage Site carrying the railway between Edinburgh and Fife. Operatives support tradespeople, engineers and supervisors on maintenance, refurbishment, civils and railway works, moving materials, preparing work areas and access routes, helping with lifting and loading, and using basic tools. Hours are flexible, with occasional nights and weekends, and the role is permanent.

• Experience in construction, rail, infrastructure, utilities or an industrial setting
• CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Fit for physical work and able to work at height
• Desirable: PTS, manual handling, first aid, plant experience
