Groundworks Foreman

Careys is recruiting an experienced groundworks foreman for civil engineering work in the Tees Valley, based at South Bank, Middlesbrough, on a contract or temporary basis. The foreman leads groundworkers, plant operators, labourers and subcontractors, coordinates daily activity to programme, oversees drainage, earthworks, foundations, kerbing and concrete, delivers briefings and toolbox talks, keeps site records and supports apprentices.

• CSCS Gold or Black card
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• Strong knowledge of drainage, earthworks, kerbing and concrete, and able to read drawings
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2 or 3, Temporary Works Supervisor, CPCS or NPORS tickets, slinger signaller or crane coordinator
