Trainee Foreman

Balfour Beatty is hiring a permanent trainee foreman for its South Coast regional civils team, based in Chichester and working on projects in the Ringmer area. The trainee works with the site management team on running civil engineering jobs day to day, supervising operatives and subcontractors, planning labour, materials and plant, checking work follows the RAMS, monitoring progress and supporting quality inspections, with the aim of becoming a full foreman.

• Site experience and a good grasp of construction site practice
• Experience supervising or coordinating teams is an advantage
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ambition to step up to foreman
