Highways Electrician (Testing)

Enerveo is hiring a highways electrician for testing work, based at Fareham (PO14) on the South Coast PFI street lighting contract covering Hampshire and Southampton. The role covers electrical testing and fault finding on private street lighting cable networks, assessing underground cables and equipment, recording test results and planning testing programmes with the operational teams. Some work is from a MEWP, and there is an out-of-hours emergency standby rota.

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Inspection, testing and fault-finding experience on low voltage systems
• Knowledge of BS 7671 and the Electricity at Work Regulations
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Nice to have: City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395, IPAF, NRSWA operative card, G39

Pay and benefits: £32,338 to £35,475 a year depending on skills, experience and hours, plus the Time Incentive Management (TIM) bonus scheme. Core hours Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 15:30, with some flexibility needed, plus a standby rota.
