HGV Driver / Highways Maintenance Operative

Amey is hiring an HGV driver and highways maintenance operative on its M8 account in Glasgow. The permanent role covers routine and cyclic maintenance, carriageway and footway patching, kerbing, ironwork, drainage, minor civils and litter picking, plus operating HGVs and small plant and taking part in winter and summer standby with emergency call-outs. Hours are 39 a week, 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with a 3.30pm Friday finish and occasional night shifts.

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• Experience in roads or street works
• Awareness of health and safety rules
• Winter maintenance experience is ideal
