Highways Maintenance Operative

Amey is hiring a highways maintenance operative based at its Gailey depot in Staffordshire, on the highways contract it has run with Staffordshire County Council since 2014. The work covers carriageway and footway patching, kerbing, ironwork replacement and drainage, driving and operating vehicles and plant, and 24-hour standby rotas in summer and winter for incidents, gritting and snow clearance. Standard hours are 40 a week, Monday to Friday.

• Experience in roads or street works
• Full UK driving licence
• Class 2 HGV licence is desirable
