Highways Maintenance Operative

Amey is hiring a highways maintenance operative based at its Leek depot and working around Staffordshire for Staffordshire County Council. The job covers routine and cyclic maintenance, carriageway and footway patching, kerbing, ironwork, drainage, minor civils, litter collection and winter maintenance, plus driving and operating vehicles and plant. Operatives join 24-hour standby rotas in summer and winter for incidents, gritting and snow clearance. Standard hours are 40 a week.

• Experience in roads or street works
• Full UK driving licence is desirable
• Class 2 HGV licence is desirable
