Highways Maintenance Operative (HGV Driver)

Amey is hiring a highways maintenance operative (HGV driver) at its Forfar depot on the NMC North East contract, which maintains the trunk road network for Transport Scotland. The operative works on planned and reactive jobs, including drainage, kerbing and minor civils, operates HGVs, plant and specialist equipment, keeps site diaries and measurements, and plays a key part in winter maintenance and emergency response. Hours are 39 a week, Monday to Friday, with an on-call rota and night shifts as needed.

• An HGV licence is preferred but not essential
• Full UK driving licence is desirable
• Experience in highways, civils, construction or a related trade is desirable
• Winter maintenance or emergency response experience is desirable
