Highways Maintenance Operative

Kier is hiring a highways maintenance operative for its Somerset team in Bridgwater. The operative responds to defects and emergencies on the county's roads, putting out traffic management signs where needed, carries out routine maintenance and minor improvement works with a range of plant, records jobs on a tablet, and supports winter maintenance and severe weather work.

• Full driving licence
• Able to work under pressure in a safety-critical role
• Comfortable working in a team and with minimal supervision
• No visa sponsorship available

Pay and benefits: £27,976 to £30,000 depending on experience, plus call-out and overtime. Permanent and full-time. Pension, life assurance, holiday purchase, share plans, enhanced family leave and free health and wellbeing services.
